NOC Engineer
EveryNetwork is not your ordinary it consulting and services company. We specialize in solving the tough it problems for high-velocity, communications intensive small to mid-sized companies.
We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our NOC team. This is fast-paced role in which you will work with a wide range of technologies. You will assist external customers with problems ranging from simple applications glitches to complex network or server outages. You will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, diagnosing, resolving or escalating trouble issues.
To qualify you must have:
- Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Windows Server 2003/2008, MS Office Suites 2003/2007 especially Outlook client, Laptop/Desktop hardware, Blackberry, Printers
- Basic understanding of internetworking, TCP/IP troubleshooting, and how to work with telecommunications providers.
- 2 – 4 years of experience in a systems administration, network operations center, or a desktop support role.
- Ability to effectively identify, troubleshoot and resolve client issues remotely
- BS and/or relevant certifications and experience
- Ability to work patiently with people at all levels of experience and technical knowledge
- Ability to speak English clearly and articulately
- Good written English skills
Candidates with the following additional skills will be considered first:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and 2008
- Active Directory, DNS, PPTP, VPN
- Exchange Server 2003 & 2007
- Firewalls - Cisco, SonicWall
- Networking – DHCP, routing, IP & subnet, TCP/IP Troubleshooting
- Wireless technology
- Good documentation skills & experience with a ticketing system.
